Dr. Badgaiyan is the Director and Principal Investigator of Molecular and Functional Brain Imaging Laboratory and Director of the University Laboratory for Advanced Radiochemistry. Dr. Badgaiyan graduated from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal in India and completed his psychiatry residency training at Harvard Medical School. He had postdoctoral training in cognitive neuroscience at University of Oregon, University of Pittsburgh and Harvard University. He also had training in molecular imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, and clinical research training at MIT. He is board certified in General Psychiatry and in Addiction Medicine. Dr. Badgaiyan is a member of a number of National and International Scientific Societies. He is the Editor-in-Chief of 7 international scientific journals and a member of the editorial board of over 40 other scientific publications. He has organized a number of International conferences and symposia.

Dr. Badgaiyan’s research focuses on the study of brain mechanisms that are responsible for abnormal behavioral, cognitive and emotional processing. He uses a novel dynamic molecular imaging technique (that he recently developed), to detect changes in the brain neurochemistry. He also uses cutting edge functional MRI techniques to study psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions. He is primarily interested in understanding the behavioral and cognitive effects of dysregulated dopamine neurotransmission. His research is funded by the grants from National Institutes of Health and Veteran’s Administration.

Professor Dr. Sohail G. Contractor is Section Chief, Interventional Radiology and the Interim Chairman, Radiology in Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.He is honored with “Golden Apple Award ” for Sub specialty teacher, by graduating class of 2015, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

Hepatobiliary disease, nonsurgical ablation/embolization of tumors, uterine fibroid embolization, thrombolysis of deep vein thrombosis/pulmonary embolism. Have also published extensively in the area of venous access with description of a novel technique to place tunneled dialysis catheters as well as chest ports.

Jun Deng received his PhD from University of Virginia in 1998 and completed his postdoctoral study at Stanford University School of Medicine in 2001. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale University School of Medicine, an American Board of Radiology certified medical physicist, a Fellow of Institute of Physics and a Fellow of American Association of Physicists in Medicine. At Yale, his research has been focused on medical imaging and its impact on cancer radiotherapy and public health. He has published 65 papers in peer-reviewed journals and been serving on editorial board of 14 international journals.

Kathleen Schmainda is a Professor, Radiology & Biophysics and Vice-Chair of Radiology Research Medical College of Wisconsin

Dr. Kathleen M.Schmainda's research primarily focuses on development of MRI methods to assess brain tumor angiogenesis and invasion. Angiogenesis is the process of new vessel formation that enables tumors to grow and spread. Invasion describes the process whereby tumor cells enter and spread to other parts of the brain, making brain tumors very difficult to treat.

Dr. Baohong Yuan is an associate professor of bioengineering at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Dr. Yuan joined UTA as an assistant professor in 2010. Before joining UTA, he was an assistant professor at Catholic University of America from 2007. From 2006 to 2007, Dr. Yuan worked at Columbia University as a postdoctoral research scientist. Dr. Yuan earned his PhD degree of Biomedical Engineering at University of Connecticut in 2006. Dr. Yuan’s expertise is in the fields of Physics and Biomedical Engineering, especially biomedical acoustic and optical imaging. His main interest is in the development of ultrasound-mediated fluorescence optical techniques for tumor structural, functional, molecular and genomic imaging. The long-term goal is to explore and develop new imaging modalities combined with the existing imaging techniques for understanding cancer mechanisms, early detecting and diagnosing cancers, and monitoring cancer treatment efficiency in living systems. Dr. Yuan has secured ~$2 Million of research funding as a principal investigator (PI) from Federal and State government and local agencies, such NSF (CAREER award), NIH, DOD, CPRIT and NHARP. He has published ~50 peer-reviewed joural papers and numerious conference papers/presentations. One U.S. patent has been formally issued in 2012 and one patent application has been filed in January 2014. He has served as an editor, a guess editor or an editorial board member for many academic journals, such as Journal of Biomedicla Optics, Technology in Cancer Research and Treatment, Journal of Molecular Biology and Molecular Imaging, International Journal of Optics, and Austin Journal of Biomedical Engineering. His major awards include NSF CAREER award, Outstanding Early Career Award (UTA), Kaman Award for Excellent in Research (CUA) and Burns Faculty Fellow (CUA).

Dr. Nadia Biassou, is a board-certified neuroradiologist at the National Institutes of Health and is Adjunct Clinical Professor of Radiology at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington DC. She graduated from the University of Chicago-Pritzker School fo Medicine and continued her postgraduate education at Georgetown University Hospital in Radiology and at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in diagnostic neuroradiology.

Dr. Yun Zhou is Assistant Professor at the The Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Science, and Guest Professor of Peking University First Hospital. He obtained his M.S. in Biomathematics and Ph.D. in Biomedical Physics from University of California at Los Angeles.

Dr. Zhou’s research focuses on the quantitative functional imaging with PET, SPECT, CT, MRI, and its applications in neurology and CNS drug evaluation.

Dr. Clifford Howard is a radiologist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including W. G. (Bill) Heffner Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and has been in practice for 13 years.

Dr Chris Clark is a professor of Imaging and Biophysics and Head of Section of Developmental Imaging and Biophysics Section (DIBS) of Institute of Child Health in University College London

Dr.Clark's research focus is on the development and application of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and tractography for the understanding of neurological disability. Tractography uniquely allows the mapping of the white matter tracts of the living human brain. These methods can be used to reconstruct a wide range of clinically eloquent tracts such as the cortico-spinal tracts, fornix, optic radiations and uncinate fasciculus among others. A particular theme of research in which I have been active is the development of these methods for the purposes of neurosurgical planning in both children and adults. I am also using these methods to investigate the relationship between white matter damage and post-surgical deficits. I am leading a number of research projects both on the development of tractography methods, using for example Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods, as well as a wide range of clinical studies in children focused on epilepsy (temporal lobe epilepsy, febrile convulsions, infantile spasm) and brain tumour diagnosis and collaborate with colleagues on studies in developmental amnesia. I am also actively participating in adult studies of stroke recovery and early white matter damage in familial Alzheimer’s disease.

Rafael Ferreira, MD is professor at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, in Florianopolis Brazil. His neuroradiology training was done at Hospital Beneficencia Portuguesa ( Sao Paulo, Brasil) and Massashusetts General Hospital ( Boston, US). He Works at Diagnostico das Americas (DASA – Florianopolis unit) and is the director of MF imagens in Biguacu, Brazil. He has a 8 year experience doing functional MRI in surgical planning of brain tumors , publishing papers in reputed jornals and serving as editorial board member of repute.

Professor Radu Mutihac got his PhD in Physics at the University of Bucharest in 1994 and became full professor in 2000. His main research fields have been Neuroscience, Signal Processing, Microelectronics, and Artificial Intelligence. As postdoc/research associate/visiting professor/full professor he run his research and didactic activity at the University of Bucharest, 1981-on, at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (Trieste, Italy, 1993-2004), Ecole Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France, 1993), Institut Henri Poincare (Paris, France, 1998), K.U. Leuven (Belgium, 2000-2001). During 1993 through 1994, he acted as Deputy General Director in the Higher Education Department of the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), being nominated as the representative of the MEC in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Professor Radu Mutihac has won the position of PhD student supervisor since 2008 and is currently working with an average of 8 PhD students per year. Data mining and exploratory analysis of neuroimaging time series were the topics which he dealt with during two Fulbright Grants in Neuroscience: at the Yale University School of Medicine (New Haven, CT, 1999-2000) and at the University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, NM, 2010-2011). Most of his significant research in fused biomedical imaging modalities was carried out at the Johns Hopkins University and Kennedy Krieger Institute, F.M. Kirby Research Center for Functional Brain Imaging (Baltimore, MD, 2003-2005), National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, MD, 2011-2013), and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (Silver Spring, MD, 2011-3013). Professor Radu Mutihac is member of the ISMRM, ESMRMB, OHBM, Romanian US Alumni Association, and fellow of Signal Processing and Neural Networks Society IEEE, as well as referee for several journals of the Institute of Physics (London, UK), Neural Networks (Elsevier), IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, and evaluator/expert for the ISMRM, OHBM, ARACIS, CNCSIS, UEFISCDI, the Romanian – U.S. Fulbright Commission. and the European Commission (FP7, H2020).

Ammar Mallouhi has completed his Specialization in diagnostic radiology in Innsbruck, Austria in 2006 and he was awarded a Venia Docendi in 2007 and working as an associate professor in the Department of Neuroradiology at Vienna Medical University in Vienna, Austria since 2010. He has published more than 40 papers and Proceedings in reputed journals and Books. He was awarded with several international scientific awards including three “Certificate of Merit” from the RSNA.

Marymol Koshy is an Associate Professor of Radiology and Senior Consultant radiologist at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. As the faculty was a new faculty she spearheaded the planning and designing of the Unit and also the purchasing and Installation of equipments. She also developed the radiology component of the medical students curriculum. In the meantime she subspecialized in cardiovascular imaging in CT and MRI. She has a keen interest in research in most fields of radiology and supervises Masters and PhD students.
